Although I wear culottes all year round whether in the form of a tailored work pant, a dressier material, or denim, one of my favorite times to style them is in the summer. The key to styling culottes for the warmer months is to find a pair with a light, breathable material like cotton, linen, or a synthetic blend that will keep moisture out. What I love most about them is that a casual pair can be easily dressed up to create a polished summer look that’s still practical.
For tops, pairing culottes with either a bodysuit or crop top is one of the easiest ways to avoid the fuss of tucking in a blouse or tee, and worrying about excess fabric when it is hot out. I personally love bodysuits as I’m partial to tucked-in look, but crop tops work as well.
My blue and white floral culottes are actually a purchase from last August which I never had a chance to wear before the season’s end, so I am excited to start wearing them this summer!
