Signs of Spring

Last week I ran into Target to pick up an online order consisting mostly of house ware items, and left with everything I ordered online plus a pair of jeans and a cardigan. I made the mistake of strolling by the Who What Wear section where I immediately fell in love with about seven different items, and naturally couldn’t leave without taking at least a few home to try. This time of year is always tricky when trying to find a balance between dressing for spring, and for the (current) weather, which is why I was excited to put some new pieces together for one of my first outings in my new neighborhood!

The first item I spotted were these adorable high-waisted paperbag jeans. The real problem with being a denim addict is that you may have a wash and style of nearly every variety, but there are so many unique pairs out there that you can always justify adding a new one to the collection, which is exactly how I reasoned this pair into my shopping cart. I not only love the wash and paperbag waist, but the tie which is the perfect finish when secured in a simple box knot. I had also been looking for simple, but soft cardigans, and this grey one which is also Who What Wear is light enough for spring, but still the perfect cozy layering piece to have on hand. One of of my other recent closet additions is this adorable ruffle sleeve top that is on final sale at Ann Taylor. If you’re looking for a simple comfy top with a little something extra, this one is the perfect color for spring, and runs true to size.
