Evening Attire

It’s been quite a while since I’ve gotten “dressed up” in any way for nighttime plans, so when the chance to attend a socially distanced restaurant opening came up, I was excited to throw together a special outfit for the occasion. When I spotted these gorgeous faux leather culottes from Zara last week, a night out was exactly what I had in mind. I’ve had mixed experiences with faux leather in the past, so I was pleasantly surprised by the softness, and slight give of this material. With a high-waist they are definitely tight-fitting, but not stiff in any way. I went with an XS, and they fit true to size.

To complete the look, I paired the culottes with one of my favorite satin camis, as I love how the orange pops against the brown. Fall is my favorite time of year to play around with deeper, more vibrant colors, and I think these pants would also look beautiful with a rust blazer, a deep green sweater, or perhaps a pretty amber blouse. I will definitely be on the hunt for a few more colorful pieces to share as I continue styling them this Fall.
