I always try to start my holiday shopping as early as possible, and this year, I was lucky enough to get a head start while visiting Ojai. I stopped by the Ojai Olive Oil Farm where I sampled nearly 20 different kinds of oil and vinegar. After finally narrowing it down, I selected a few different flavors of each to give as gifts. Now, as we approach December, I am really trying to finish all my shopping so that I’m not scrambling the whole month, as is often the case. It felt good getting a jump on things in September, so I’ve really been trying to keep up the momentum.
One thing I love about downtown Westport is that it’s easily accessible, whether by car, or train. Earlier this month, my sister and I spent a day there, and we had a great time popping into the shops, and marveling at all the beautiful christmas decorations. I of course couldn’t help but purchase a gift for myself at J.Crew, but I did also manage to pick up a few small gifts for friends and family while I was there. While the bigger stores like J.Crew, and Anthropologie are always convenient, I love that Westport has a mix of bigger brands, and smaller, more local shops. A few of my favorites include South Moon Under, Swoon, and Terrain.
