Celebrating Spring

While this spring has gotten off to a much different start than we are used to, I’m still trying to celebrate the little things, which in this case meant stepping outside to photograph a new dress in front of this beautiful forsythia bush in my neighborhood.

Spring is always tricky in the northeast, as it doesn’t usually warm up completely until May, sometimes even June. For me it’s a constant battle between wanting to dress for Spring, but finding that the weather still very much calls for winter clothes. To counteract this, I try to find a balance between the two seasons, whether it’s pairing a dress with boots and a jacket as I did here, or staying warm in a pastel sweater and white jeans.

This midi dress is one of the other pieces I ordered recently from Abercrombie, and I can’t get enough of the black and yellow floral print, and tie front details. The dress also comes in black, and I was definitely tempted to get both. It’s currently on clearance for $30 plus an extra 20 percent off, with sizes XS through L still available.

Abercrombie is also offering 30 percent off all full-priced items currently, so it’s a great time to start adding more spring and summer pieces into your wardrobe if it’s in need of a few additions.
